Sterling Christian Academy (SCA) is a private Christian School and a subsidiary of the Jonathan Foundation Incorporated, a 501C3 organization founded to address Human Services and Educational needs.  SCA was founded to bring a holistic Christ-centered educational alternative for private and homeschool learners.  The vision was birthed after my son was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at 7 years old.  I needed a daily holistic plan to address his physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and academic needs.  A virtual academic platform provided the flexibility needed to meet the unpredictable challenges.  As other parents expressed their needs for alternative choices, the vision was born. 

     In 2015, the program focused on serving students in Career and Technical Education fields through training in three actual retail boutique establishments.  Covid-19 brought changes which caused us to re-evaluate how to best serve the needs of the students with consistently.

     With rising educational challenges, we begin to re-envision and expand opportunities to families who still are in need our services.  In addition to the SCA platform, I've worked as a substitute teacher in a couple of school districts and have served as a children's ministry teacher/leader for over 25 years in various churches in the Macon, Ga area.
