About Us

Sterling Christian Academy (SCA) is a subsidiary of  the Jonathan Foundation Incorporated, a 501C3 organization founded to address religious, educational, and charitable causes.  SCA exist to bring a flexible, skill-building, safe, and intrinsic learning experience to the educational platform by using traditional and non-traditional methods to deliver educational content.

We approach learning holistically by implementing a variety of opportunities that address the whole child that scaffolds lessons to develop a mastery of skills.  By using a blend of 21st century technology, hands on experiences,  and good ole text books, students will have an opportunity to become well versed  on their academic journey.

Parents are an essential component to this partnership as they become the learning coaches for their virtual learners.  Teachers, facilitators, tutors, and instructional coaches are available to assist students virtually, by phone, and scheduled tutorial sessions as needed.  Our future goal is to bring the program to a brick and mortar platform where students can take advantage of the full  range of educational services and extra-curricular activities.  Welcome your new school.

Meet the Founder

Hi, thank you for visiting our site.  My name is Adriana Jackson, founder of Sterling Christian Academy.  I am a mother of three and have loved working with and caring for children as long as I can remember.  Realizing this, my educational journey to become a child care provider, teacher, and administrator began, following high school, at Georgia College and State University completing a B.S. degree in Psychology in 1994.  I returned back to the classroom to complete an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Care and Education and certifications in Program Administration, Infant/ Toddler Care, and ServSafe at Central Georgia Technical College in 2007-2008.  In 2020, that journey continued as I completed a Master's in Elementary Education with additional coursework in Human Services.  I've been an active member in the body of Christ since childhood and have served in Christian Education for over 25 years.  My additional ventures include retail entrepreneurship, interior decorating, event planning/directing, and traveling - to name a few.

My inspiration for the school began in 2006 after my son was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes.   We needed a holistic approach to address all the challenges this new responsibility brought.  Those components included a flexible schedule and curriculum, whole nutrition, physical/health education, social interactions/opportunities, and the faith to get through it. Starting with a handful of children, this became Sterling Christian Academy.
